Northern Vision Eye Care is experienced in many advanced technologies to protect your eyes and your sight. We own northern Michigan's only stationary excimer laser, which means convenient scheduling and precision calibration.
We are also the only eye care center in northern Michigan to perform Optomap® Retinal Exams. This procedure allows Dr. Butryn to examine the inside of the eye without dilation of the pupil. During an Optomap Retinal Exam a computerized image of the retina is created which allows for many eye problems to be detected very early. Early detection is the key to reducing vision damage.
Northern Vision Eye Care is the only eye care center in northern Michigan to offer the exclusive Custom LASIK technology, which allows laser surgery to be more customized to the individual eye than ever before.
We are also the home to a revolutionary technology for the detection of glaucoma. The GDx Laser Scanner technology measures the nerve fiber layer of the eye, the site of glaucoma damage. This allows for much earlier detection and treatment than other methods that only measure the symptoms of the disease.
