Meet Dr. Butryn
Robert K. Butryn, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and founder of Northern Vision Eye Care. He has been providing comprehensive eye care to the residents of northern Michigan since 1998.
Dr. Butryn served his internal medicine residency program and his ophthalmology residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit, a leader in excimer laser research. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and his bachelor of arts degree from Kalamazoo College.
Dr. Butryn has extensive training and experience with laser refractive surgery including LASIK and CK, as well as laser skin resurfacing and no needle, no stitch cataract surgery. He has received several awards for his research and publications in ophthalmology and has presented his research at international meetings.
Dr. Butryn is a Traverse City native who graduated from Traverse City Senior High School and was a member of the 1985 state championship Trojan football team.
